
Zofia ROGALSKA-DYNA
Zofia Rogalska was born on 15 May 1924 in Wolyn, Poland.
In 1946, as part of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Polish 2nd Corps in Italy6, Zofia married Wladyslaw Dyna who was also serving with the Polish 2nd Corps. They moved to England with the Corps and joined the Polish Resettlement Corps there. They were demobilised in 1948.
In 1953, Zofia and Wladyslaw emigrated to Canada, and settled in Winnipeg, raising their three children: Alice, Yolanda, and Edward.
Zofia retired from work in 1980. For many years, she volunteered at Folklorama at the Krakow Pavilion and was a member of Sokol, where she maintained the library.
Zofia passed away in Winnipeg on 2 June 2015, at the age of 91 years. She was buried at the Holy Ghost Cemetery. Wladyslaw had died in 1992 at the age of 68 years, and they are now back together in the same grave.
