Polish Air Force in the UK
Jan and his mother Eva were deported to Siberia after his father was arrested. His father was executed as part of the Katyn Massacres and his name is included on the Ukrainian List. Jan was released by the 'amnesty' and made his way south, eventually volunteering for the Polish Air Force in the UK.
These photos were taken at Locking Camp, an RAF / PAF airbase
