Stanislaw BELZA

Sgt Stanisław Bełza was born in 1914 in Surhów, Krasnystaw, Poland

In 1941 he was posted to Polish No. 303 ‘Tadeusz Kościuszko’ Squadron.

In 1943 he was promoted as an officer and served as a flying instructor in 61 Operational Training Unit.

In 1944 he was posted to Polish No. 316 ‘City of Warsaw’ Squadron.

Stanisław Bełza was killed in a flying accident on 11 April 1945. He was 30 years old. He was buried in Epping Cemetery, Epping Forest District, Essex, England.

Bełza was awarded the Cross of Valour three times, and the Air Force medal twice.
