These artefacts and Officer's Uniform belonged to Dr. Lukasz Kulczycki, who lived in Swan iver, Manitoba for some years after the war, having studied medicine at the Polish School of Edinburgh.
He moved to the US in the 1950s, where he became a world-renowned pediatrician specializing in cystic fibrosis. The uniform was donated to the Ogniwo Museum by a colleague of Dr. Kulczycki's. Following the donation, research by the museum's archivist miraculously found a 106-year-old Dr. Kulczycki living in Virginia!
Dr. Kulczycki was reunited with his uniform and artefacts, several weeks before he died. His daughter subsequently sent the items back to the Ogniwo Museum.
A Documentary Film about Wojtek, the Soldier Bear, is also shown on a loop.
